Hummel Bird aircraft crashes after suspected engine failure, pilot airlifed to hospital

SABC club member Norm Stokes is recovering in Royal Perth Hospital after being airlifted by the RAC Rescue helicopter after the recreational Hummel Bird aircraft he was flying experienced engine problems soon after taking off from SABC Serpentine Airfield today just after 14.00hrs (LT).
